Haga is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Gothenburg, with a history dating back to the 17th century.
The area was originally built as a residential neighbourhood for workers in the nearby shipyards and other industries, and it quickly developed a reputation as a full of life and lively part of the city.
Over the years, the architecture and layout of the neighbourhood has changed, with many of the original wooden houses being replaced by brick and stone buildings. but much of Haga's historic charm has been preserved, and today the area is known for its charming cobblestone streets and colourful 19th century buildings.
